Our climate strategy reflects both ethical publishing values and the requirements of science-based climate action.

In accordance with emerging UK standards and B Lab’s guidance, we pledge to:

• Measure and report our Scope 1, Scope 2, and material Scope 3 emissions annually, using the GHG Protocol framework.
• Set time-bound, science-aligned emissions reduction targets consistent with limiting global warming to 1.5°C.
• Publish a climate transition roadmap and update it with each recertification cycle or major operational change.
• Engage our suppliers, partners, and logistics providers to share responsibility for emissions reductions.
• Prioritise reduction over offsetting, using carbon credits only for residual emissions once abatement has been optimised.

Our goal is to reach net zero emissions no later than 2050, with interim reduction targets in place by 2030. As a publisher, we also consider the environmental impact of digital infrastructure, printed materials, distribution channels, and content licensing decisions.
